At 5 years old

No moves so far! :) But I am thinking about it. :)
Your birthday party was at home and all those 20 kids almost drove me nuts! But you enjoyed it because we had this competition. Your friend Marcela fell from the hamac and hit her head badly!!! My goodness!
Your dad came from Colombia with Juan Guillhermo and the girls (Maria Camila and Ana Sofía) and you all went to Rio de Janeiro.
We also went camping with grampa Guilherme. It rained big time and we had to move in the middle of the night to a cabin.
In December you had a great time in Colombia, where you spent the whole month with your dad. You went to your grandma’s house, in Timbio, and got to know your family. You also went for long walks in the mountains and that was the best part of the trip. Your dad called you “el gran caminante” (or something like that).
Mommy went to Portugal and left you both there with your dad and after one week you were already calling out for me. This is how attached you were with your mom. I almost died when I missed the flight back to Colombia because I was so worried about you.
On Easter that year we had our first eggs hunting and you really enjoyed it! It was fun to see you read the maps and run to the next one.
Oh something very nice happened that month too!! You learned how to ride your bicycle!!!! I was so proud of you and so were you! Your smile on that day is something I will always remember. You said ‘did you see how long I rode this time? Did you see it?’ It was very nice! And you were all proud of yourself because you could do it and your sister who were older than you couldn’t. You used to say that a lot.
But you were still a baby for me. :) and you didn't use your baby bottle anymore (except in the morning when it was very nice to drink that warm milk and you could rub the pillow tip in your nose or finger. :) la puntica!!

Well we reached today. From now on I will write as things happen. So that you know your dad and I are planning on moving back to Toronto. He is living in Colombia now and we want to get you guys close together and thought that Canada would be a good place for it. So more changes to come! Stay tuned!

Oh you will never guess!! Yes honey we moved again! This time to a smaller house, at Jardim Paineiras. But the good thing about it (besides the bad ones named frogs, bats, spiders and their gangs, for being located close to the river) was that you met Vitor, our neighbor, son of Kasmarek (o caçador de perereca). You became best friends and he used to come home often to play on the computer or the videogame and I used to send you guys to his house to play with something else, otherwise you would play all day long with those e-games!
We got our second puppy, Duda. You used to love her. The first thing you did every time we got home was to open the door so that she could come in.
On that year we traveled quite a bit.
In July we went to Sao Paulo and stayed at Marco’s apartment. I took you to Xuxa’s Park, to Ibirapuera’s park (where you had the chance to take a picture with Spiderman in person! :) and to Zoo Safari. It was great!
We also went to Serra Negra and Guarujá with grandma, and stayed in a nice “Colônia de Férias”. Camila and you would go up and down the elevator and fight to decide who was going to push the buttons. But we had a great time! You visited the City of Robots and really enjoyed it!
At the end of the year we went to Guarujá again, only the three of us, and spent Christmas and New Year there.

Your birthday party was at Eduardo’s country house, a very nice place.
We got our first puppy, Babi, who ran away later on in Marília.
You had your first and only accident when you were a kid (you behaved really well you know?). I was bathing your sister and you came into the bathroom, climbed up the clothes basket (which was a little high). The basket, of course, fell to the floor and so did you, head on the ground! Poor little boy... a few days blackeyed.
Oh your dad came from Toronto and we went on a trip to Bertioga. Guess what? Raining again. :) Nevertheless we ate fried shrink under an umbrella at the beach while Camila and you were building sandcastles!! Cool heh?
Oh baby you changed schools again!!! This time was to Porto Alvorada, a school we used to love. (sorry about all those changes honey!).
But you got to make new friends: Rafael Filho, Lucas, Yan, Rinaldo and so on.
Ah something very nice happened on that year: you started to read and write! I was teaching Camila and you couldn’t wait any longer to learn it too. So you jumped on the train and started as soon as she did. Mommy was very proud of you and people were amazed!

You started this age with a nice party at Ozone, your dad’s former Internet Café in Marília. We even hired a clown to bring more fun to the kids.
On that year you changed schools and houses. Your new school was called Realize and we moved to an apartment, in a nicer area of the city.
You did a lot of nice things at school, as you can see in the pictures, and you enjoyed those presentations and did all the moves quite well.

When you were about to turn 3 we moved again!! My goodness! You just can’t stop moving!!! This time was to Jaú where your mom got a much better job working at Forum.
You started to go to Colégio Saint Exupéry where you met your friend Pietro. You didn’t like moving at all and it took you some time to get used to the new school. You cried a lot until that happened.

Time to go to school! Well not exactly time, but need. I was working and so was your dad so you used to stay there the whole day. Your first school was called 7 Cores (which means 7 colors). You took looooong naps there and you also learned to talk. You used to come home and say ‘Breno me bateu’. :)
At the end of the year you had this presentation at the theater but wouldn’t stay there with the other kids. You would walk around and cry if your teacher tried to bring you to the group. You were this tinny little thing with a big pacifier in your mouth, so cute! You had blond hair also but it started to darken when you were about two. Good for you because darker hair people are smarter. :)
Oh I was almost forgetting to say that you almost killed your mom when you were still so young!!! We went to the drugstore downtown, the three of us, really busy time of the day, big avenue in Marília. I was buying stuff with the attendant (who was really... really slow motion!!!) and you were llooking around with your sis. I was always checking on you both but you suddenly disappeared!!! I started running everywhere, crying out, asking where is my son? I was desperate! Moms who ever lost their kids know what I am saying... then a lady walked by and asked if I was looking for a small blond boy holding a blue umbrella and I said yes. She said you were walking down the street. I ran that way and you even turned the corner (thank God you didn't cross the avenue!!). I found you holding a cop's hand like a block away from where we were. I only remember people staring at me and I was so chocked and embarassed for having lost you. Afterwards I couldn't stop crying... my goodness... it was the worst feeling!!

The big day and the first year

Your dad came from Toronto for the big day. You were born only 2 hours after I got to the hospital. Much faster than your sister! You were really ready to come to this world!
You cried so much after the labor that the nurses were amazed! They said there had never been a baby who cried so much as you did!!!!
There! I was in love with you!!
You have been this active person since then. You just couldn’t stop moving in the crib, kicking all the blankets.
You also have always been very attached to your mom. Nobody could hold you besides me.
You used to carry this pacifier in your mouth the whole time and you had this baby pillow and you used to rub its tip to your nose (which you still do and you are 5 already! :)
On that year, you took your first trip. We went to Camboriú on Easter. It was fun although not so sunny as we expected. It was only the beginning of our long list of travels! We really love traveling!

Before you were born

I got pregnant when I was still living in Toronto, with your dad and your sister Camila. We moved back to Brazil when I was 7 months pregnant and lived with Grandma for a while until she bought us a house and we moved to Jardim Damasco, where you were born. Mommy tried to keep in good shape, going to swim as often as I could.
